Kristen Cussen graduated from UVic with a writing degree. Before committing to the starving artist aesthetic, she completed an advanced diploma in journalism at Humber College in Toronto. She was an editor and art director for two publications. Her journalism work can be found in Capital Daily, Scribe, Convergence, and Et Cetera. Kristen’s CNF has been published in The HLR and Over/Exposed. If not for the term “multidisciplinary,” some would call her scattered. To conquer all genres, she’s currently working in production and writing scripts in cafes and swears her lack of accolades is intentional—it adds mystique. She once smuggled butter out of Ireland and a butterfly out of Mexico and hopes her writing will one day have similar reach.
