Bowen O'Brien

Bowen O'Brien, the young indie filmmaker hails from the charming town of Vernon, BC. His passion for filmmaking has been developed through mentorships, learning from talented individuals such as Marcella Moser and Mihai Wilson, Indigenous filmmaker Patrick Shannon and his teacher Murray Sasges. Bowen's dedication to developing a film community stems from his upbringing in a small town with limited access to film equipment. His efforts have paid off as he has won multiple awards for his work in OSIF's Film Festivals and Competitions. Inspired by the likes of Filmmakers such as David Fincher, Wes Anderson & Gore Verbisnki, I have found my own style focusing on Powerful Visuals, Kinetic Editing, Love for the Ebb & Flow of life & all those lost romances come and gone.
