Milena Salazar

Milena Salazar is a Costa Rican filmmaker based in Vancouver, BC. Her first film, Mars Barb, premiered at the 2015 DOXA Documentary Film Festival and was presented in festivals across North America, including the 2015 Air Canada enRoute Film Festival. Her latest film Do I Have Boobs Now? co-directed with Joella Cabalu, was awarded the OUTtv Audience Award for Best Short at the Vancouver Queer Film Festival and screened at over 15 festivals around the world including Slamdance. She is a regular contributor for the CBC Arts TV show Exhibitionists. A fellow of the Hot Docs Doc Accelerator and the RIDM Talent Lab, Milena is currently developing new projects in Vancouver, BC and her hometown of San José, Costa Rica.
